Bio

Wildlife photographer.
A native of Turin, born in 1980, since childhood he manifested a deep love for nature, thanks to frequenting the alpine environment and watching documentaries on the animal world.
Graduated in cinema at the University of Turin, he later switched from a predilection for the moving image to that for the static image.
After attending photographic courses and masters of various kinds, thanks to the constant and growing passion towards the natural world, he finds his most spontaneous expressive home in nature and wildlife photography.
Love and respect for biodiversity are the glue of his photographic works in which description of reality and the presence of a poetic component converge.
Photography is not experienced by Paolo only through the study of the subjects and the objective documentation of their lives, but as an immersive experience; the long waits prior to the shot become a temporal space through which to perceive sounds, smells, shapes and colors of nature, suitable for the nourishment of an emotion that is fully explicated at the moment of the creation of the final image. Moreover, ethics in approaching this genre of photography is one of the pillars on which his images are founded. As a wildlife photographer he is particularly attracted to the northern territories and the magic of Winter, ideal territory for the pursuit of his personal photographic aesthetic.
He currently resides in a small Piedmontese village in the Italian Alps, and feels privileged to be able to live in a place where every day he can admire the precious treasures that nature offers us thanks to its vast biodiversity.
To date, Paolo , between workshops, organized photographic trips and exhibitions exhibited in different alpine valleys of Piedmont, continues his work on short- and long-term projects, which will include themed books.
In his present and in his future there is the desire thanks to this expressive medium to bring people closer to nature (considered by him a heritage to be preserved and protected), and the desire from the creative point of view to redeepen more the video-documentary side.
